Student Centered Instruction


The Department of Crop Sciences at the University of Illinois provides student centered instruction.
- Find dedicated faculty members who provide high quality instruction and are willing to spend time with students. Students rate many Crop Sciences faculty members Excellent.
- Get to know your instructors and fellow students. Most classes are small, fewer than 25 students.
- Work part-time in laboratory or field research programs or do an internship in a research program with a faculty member or company.
- Experience the excellent student / faculty member ratio (about 90 undergraduate students and 60 resident graduate students / 33 faculty members). As a student majoring in Crop Sciences you will have a faculty member as your academic advisor. No faculty member advises more than 15 students so he or she will get to know you.
