Research Interests

My overall research goal is to develop improved maize germplasm that contributes to an economically efficient and sustainable maize production in high yielding environments and which adds improved traits to secure harvest under restricted growing conditions. I am specifically interested in understanding the genetic basis of biotic stress responses, root development, and cell wall biology in maize;
