Installation notes by Charlie Smyth, 3/28/05

To install the program, run the latest (non-beta) version such as ww55asetup.exe. The defaults are pretty good and on first installation on program startup you will be asked to set up options. Here are some screen shots for how I'm set up for use. The program will also install an icon on the desktop (in addition to a program group) which you can delete after installation if you don't want it there. There may also be an update available which you can install afterwards.

Note that under miscellaneous, you need to choose the Load at startup if you want to the program to be in the taskbar. You also want it to retrieve forecasts.

The second window is for setting up your city. You can have multiple cities listed but only the "active" one is displayed in the taskbar.

This window is pretty self-evident:

And set this to your preferences:

And these are the items to display when you hover over the temperature listed in the taskbar:

This window will allow you to have satellite pictures take over your wallpaper/desktop. To keep it off, leave the enable button unchecked! There are a large number of satellite shots to choose from which you can choose from in the Maps window.

Once you have the program running, if you double left click the icon in the taskbar, you can choose from a number of views using the icon down the left side of the window that comes up. Here is an example of the "Detailed Forecast" window.

If you right click on the temperature icon in the taskbar, you get a large number of choices, including the ability to switch cities, go to options, switch wallpaper and so on. Please note that once you switch wallpaper you will get a satellite image and the only way to go back is to go the properties of your screen itself and reset the wallpaper back to what you had.
