| Policies on Missed Exams, Attendance, and Academic Misconduct | If you know that you will be absence on the date of an exam, bring it to my attention within the first week of classes. If you miss an exam because of illness or other emergency, you must provide appropriate verification to avoid receiving a zero for that exam. You must take the Final Exam during the designated time (except in the case of conflict with other final exams). Information presented in class and information in the text are meant to complement, not duplicate, each other. Information that is presented only in class, or only in the text, is still fair game for exam questions. Thus, you are strongly encouraged to both attend each lecture and complete the assigned readings. You are also expected to attend each and every laboratory. Academic misconduct will not be tolerated. For information on what constitutes academic misconduct, consult section 1-402 of the Student Code. Cheating on an exam or assignment will result in an F grade for the course. |
